Decorating with an Odd Number of Items!

Decorating with an odd number of items gives the space visual interest and appeal. For example, in a living room place a sofa on one side of the room and two similarly scaled chairs opposite it with a coffee table in the center. By a chair, place a table and lamp. In a dinning room over a table, hang five pendant lights in varying lengths or three pendant lights of the same height. Both looks are visually pleasing. Notice how the grouping of odd numbers allows your eyes to travel. Continue designing your space by adding architectural pieces, texture and patterns to achieve the perfect look for your room.

An example of an odd number grouping is this photo from a My Chic Farmhouse photo shoot by @nik-z-photo for @visitmendovillage.
